This ring was made during a humanities study on metalworking. Using an older method, I started with a cylinder form of wax, of which I shaved down using graters and sandpaper. Getting the ring right to my measurements, I then attached the wax ring to a tree-like wax formation, hanging almost like a branch. When this structure was in a secure environment, hot liquid metal was able to be poured down the wax "tree" and when hardened my ring was left in the waxe place.
